Tipples was established in 2007 by Tim Aversa and has gone from strength to strength. Over the last 12 months they have provided over 130 bars and 2018 looks to be another busy year. In 2009 they relocated to larger premises and can now provide 6 fully stocked bars. Contracts were also established between Tipples and Shooter's Hill Hall, Dorrington Village Hall and Meole Brace Trinity Centre, they are also the recommended mobile bar at Pimhill Barn, Ellesmere College, Ludlow Castle, Shooters Hall, Citdael and The Cowshed.
Many venues have been accommodated by Tipples including marquees, village halls and private residences. Corporate events have also become more popular with regular drink services at Bang and Olufsen, RAF Cosford, Shrewsbury Audi, Manchester Bentley and Shropshire Enterprises HQ. Tipples have also provided drinks services for members of the Royal family including the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice. They also supplied the bars for the Carnival and Food Festival in the Shrewsbury Quarry over the last few years, as well as village shows and sporting events. Prior to establishing Tipples bar Tim worked at local hotels including The Prince Rupert and Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury. He studied Hospitality and Catering at Radbrook College and then went on to gain a Business HND at Staffordshire University. In May 2003 he joined the QE2 Cruise Liner before transferring to the Luxury Yachts of Seabourn, providing 7 star service to their 208 guests on board. Over the next 3 years Tim travelled the 7 continents, first working in the restaurant as a silver service waiter before joining the bar team. It was there that Tim mastered the art of cocktail making that he has since brought to Tipples.
In 2006 Tim travelled to Australia where he worked at the 5 star Marriott Resort Hotel in Surfers Paradise as a Cocktail Bartender before continuing north to Cairns. Travelling Australia provided a great opportunity to visit many wine vineyards and distilleries including Penfold's and Wolfblass. Upon his return to Shropshire, Tim applied the knowledge and experience gained over the last several years to establish Tipples Bar.
