Experience

Tipples was first established in 2007 by Tim Aversa.

It was in 1999 that Tim first showed an interest in the Hospitality and Catering Industry, attending Radbrook Catering College for 2 years in Shrewsbury. During this time he worked at the Prince Rupert Hotel and at Rowton Castle serving at many of the weddings that they cater for. Following this, he completed a business course with Staffordshire University and once his studies were complete he followed his ambition of travelling.

In May 2003 Tim joined the QE2 Cruise Liner and then transferred to the Luxury Yachts of Seabourn, providing 7 star service to their 208 guests on board. Over the 3 years, Tim travelled all of the 7 continents, including Antarctica. First he worked in the restaurant as a silver service waiter, before moving to the bar team, it was here that Tim learned many of the cocktails that he has brought to Tipples.

 

"Serving American guests was a great experience, often some guests would only drink cocktails, a Bloody Mary with breakfast, a Mojito by the pool, Martinis before dinner followed by a Brandy Alexander during the evening show. Seabourn taught me so much about providing quality service and how to maintain the highest standards day after day. I will now aim to offer the same high standards with Tipples Bar".

In 2006, Tim travelled down to Australia where he worked at the 5 star Marriott Resort Hotel in Surfers Paradise working in the Lobby Lounge as a Cocktail Bartender for 5 months before leaving to travel north to Cairns. After returning in May 2007 Tim decided to settle in his home town of Shrewsbury and establish Tipples Mobile Bar.
