Tipples was established in 2007 by Tim Aversa, we have evolved over the years to become one of the leading Mobile Bars and Catering Hire Companies in the area. We have been excited to expand vastly over the last few years, we now have the capacity to provide over 100 mobile bars for weddings and events per year. We have such a passion for events and in particular weddings and have gained a great deal of experience over this time. In 2014 Charlotte joined the office and has added her knowledge and skills in the events industry which has helped to grow the company further. Charlotte offers advice, make suggestions and pulls all of the elements together as every wedding and event is unique to you; the service we provide is very bespoke.
Our main philosophy is to ensure that our guests are happy, to always go the extra mile and to provide the best service possible. We train our team and develop their skills, make sure that they are well presented; but the main thing we ask of them is to smile and go the extra mile for our couples and clients.
We have provided our mobile bar services at many venues including Pimhill Barn, The Bridal Barn, Shooters Hill Hall, The Citadel and The Cowshed, we also provide bars in many marquees, village halls and private homes.
Our catering hire consists of a wide range of products with over 150,000 items which are individually hand polished, boxed and ready to deliver to you. Our range includes classic white crockery as well as rustic ranges and the increasingly popular coloured crockery; different styles of cutlery including our lovely gold range; when it comes to glassware we have some beautiful elegant pieces, gold and silver rimmed, crystal cut, coloured tumblers as well some classic pieces like our champagne saucers.
Prior to establishing Tipples bar Tim worked at local hotels including The Prince Rupert and Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury. He studied Hospitality and Catering at Radbrook College and then went on to gain a Business HND at Staffordshire University. In May 2003 he joined the QE2 Cruise Liner before transferring to the Luxury Yachts of Seabourn (pictured below), providing 7 star service to their 208 guests on board. Over the next 3 years Tim travelled the 7 continents, first working in the restaurant as a silver service waiter before joining the bar team. It was there that Tim mastered the art of cocktail making that he has since brought to Tipples.
In 2006 Tim travelled to Australia where he worked at the 5 star Marriott Resort Hotel in Surfers Paradise as a Cocktail Bartender before continuing north to Cairns. Travelling Australia provided a great opportunity to visit many wine vineyards and distilleries including Penfold's and Wolfblass. Upon his return to Shropshire, Tim applied the knowledge and experience gained over the last several years to establish Tipples Bar.
In the early years Tim started Tipples from his parents garage, his dad built the first bar and his mum took bookings over the phone, in that first year he provided 16 bars. A year later he took the leap and moved into a unit in Hanwood and has seen the business grow ever since. We are all very excited to see what the next few years will bring to our growing Tipples team.
