Frequently Asked Questions

  • We do not require a deposit or prepayment to confirm your hire order. We kindly just ask for the hire order to be signed and returned to us (this can be electronically)

  • We kindly ask for your final hire order no later than one week prior to the delivery / collection date. This will simply ensure that we can accommodate your order. 

  • In regard to invoicing, we will send the invoice to you via email following the return / count in of your order. Our payment terms are 30 days from when you receive the invoice. You can pay via BACS, card over the phone, or cheque.

  • Charger Plates: We ask that the charger plates are used for presentation purposes only and that food is not placed directly on the charger plates.

  • Linen: Our linen is couriered in from Chester on Tuesday afternoon. All final linen orders must be received no later than one week prior to Tuesday of the week of your event. It cannot be guaranteed that last minute orders or additions can be accommodated.

  • We do offer a dirty return service, whereby you can return all of the items back dirty / unpolished. We would just kindly ask that all liquids are emptied from all glasses, and all food scraped off plates before returning or before we collect. There is an additional 25% charge for returning items back dirty.

  • If you’d like to return your hire order back clean, you may also do this. We would kindly ask that all items are washed and hand polished, and there are no water marks or smears on any items. Any items that must be re-washed / polished will incur a polishing fee of 10%.

  • The delivery / collection schedules are set the week of the event. If you have a preference over a morning or afternoon delivery, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this for you, but it cannot always be guaranteed.

  • If you’d like to collect and return your order to our base in Hanwood, Shrewsbury, we are open from 9am – 5.15pm, from Monday to Friday. Unfortunately we are not open on Saturday or Sunday for collections or returns of orders.

Furniture and Linen Hire :

Tipples now offer a wide range of tables and chairs to hire. We offer a variety of table sizes, including round and trestle tables. Catering Equipment Hire Service:

In 2010 Tipples Catering Hire was launched. We have created a range of products that can meet any requirement from a garden party to an exclusive wedding. A wide choice of catering equipment is available which includes several varieties of cutlery, crockery, bone china, glassware and cooking equipment, as well as catering and wedding essentials such as cake stands and easels.
